CR1 (Carbon Fiber Performance)
Scott’s CR1 has quietly become our best selling road bike over the past three years. Scott has refined this model continually over the years, and it sits right in between the race and plush bike categories. At first thought you might think that’s not a great place to sit, but the reality is that a majority of our customers don’t want “seat of your pants” race bike performance but neither do they want the boring ride quality that is so typical of the plush bike category. That’s exactly where the CR1 is positioned, and that’s what makes it such a great choice for road bike enthusiasts.

Speedster (Alloy Performance)
We have a number of customers that aren’t sure if they are going to get serious about road biking and don’t want to spend a lot of money to get started, but at the same time they don’t want to buy a cheap and heavy bike that doesn’t ride well and has poor quality components that are going to break down a lot. We nearly always recommend Scott’s Speedster to these folks, as they are very well made bikes with great road feel and quality components used throughout. Scott’s skills in lightweight frame design really shine through here, and their recent purchase of the Syncros component company lets them offer real value that few other manufacturers can touch.

Foil (Aerodynamic Race)
Way back in 2010, Scott quietly leaked a bike into the Pro Tour – the Project F01. Before the Highroad team entered the pinball machine that is modern Pro Tour Sponsorship, this was Mark Cavendish’ secret weapon and he was using it to devastating results in the Tour de France. By the end of that Tour, we had received many calls from customers who wanted to know when Scott was going to release this bike to the public.
The Foil that came from this “Project F01″ is a thoroughbred performance machine that we highly recommend to anyone who wants to extend their performance on the road using legal means. It’s a stiff world-class race machine that adds carefully engineered aerodynamic enhancements to the frame without making it overly rigid or twitchy (the two main complaints we hear of other aero frames).
